DAYTIME PRIDE -TRAVEL TIPS

GETTING TO DC

Book plane tickets early as you can for the lowest airfares.  The closest airport is Ronald Regan National Airport (DCA).  Also nearby is Dulles International Airport (IAD).  Check fares for both…you may find one airport is much cheaper than the other.  If you live in the Northeast and on a budget, Check Amtrak.  It’s a great alternative to getting to Washington DC.

EVENT PARKING

The Mayflower Hotel offers Valet Parking for $35 a night.  The closest garage to HRC is located at: 1615 M. Street NW and can be reserved at ParkingPanda.com along with other nearby garages. Take note of Garage hours as some garages are closed or have limited weekend hours.

If your arriving on Friday afternoon you may consider parking at one of the Crystal City Garages in nearby Arlington.  There are many garages there that offer free parking beginning at 4pm on Fridays through 6am Monday.  More Details here:  https://www.crystalcity.org/explore/getting-around/car/free-parking   After you park you can take the Metro or catch a Uber/Lyft which will likely be less expensive than overnight parking in DC.
